After delving into the wonders of the past, head to the stunning coastal town of Dahab for an exhilarating snorkeling experience at the Blue Hole. Known for its vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters, the Blue Hole is a paradise for snorkelers. Swim alongside colorful coral reefs and diverse marine species, experiencing the beauty of Egypt’s underwater world.

Join us for an adventure that combines the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza, the captivating history of Ancient Egypt, and the breathtaking underwater landscapes of the Blue Hole. This trip promises a perfect blend of exploration, education, and relaxation, creating memories to last a lifetime.

Day 1

Arrive in Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and prepare for an exciting adventure ahead. Join your fellow travelers for a warm welcome dinner at a traditional Egyptian restaurant, where you can savor authentic cuisine and get to know your group.

Day 2

Start your day with a visit to a bustling local market. Here, you can shop for traditional Egyptian clothing and souvenirs, immersing yourself in the vibrant culture.

Head to the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, where you will marvel at the extensive collection of artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Next, visit the stunning Mohamed Ali Mosque, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. Continue your journey through history with a tour of the Coptic Quarter, exploring its ancient churches and historic sites. We will also have the opportunity to purchase traditional souvenirs, such as a personalized cartouche necklace, fragrant essential oil perfumes, or decorated papyrus scrolls.

Day 3

Travel to Saqqara to explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the oldest stone structures in the world. Next, visit the ancient city of Memphis and its open-air museum, showcasing remarkable statues and relics.

Head to Giza to witness the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids. Experience the thrill of entering the Great Pyramid and exploring its ancient passageways.

Conclude the day with a captivating night-time light show at the Pyramids, where the history and legends of ancient Egypt come to life in a stunning display.

Day 4

Enjoy a free day to explore Cairo and Giza at your own pace. Consider visiting top attractions such as the Citadel, the Al-Azhar Park, or the bustling Khan El Khalili bazaar. You can also revisit sites from earlier in the trip or simply relax and soak in the local atmosphere.

Day 5

Fly from Cairo to Dahab, a beautiful coastal town on the Red Sea. Check into your hotel and take a moment to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Treat yourself to a rejuvenating experience at a traditional hammam spa. Unwind with a soothing bath and massage, leaving you refreshed and revitalized.

Day 6

Embark on a snorkeling adventure at the legendary Blue Hole. Discover the vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs that make this spot a world-renowned diving destination.

Spend the rest of the day lounging by the coast, soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene beauty of Dahab. Take leisurely walks along the shore and perhaps indulge in some fresh fruit or local delicacies from nearby vendors.

Day 7

Enjoy a final breakfast with your group, reminiscing about the incredible experiences you’ve shared. After breakfast, travel to the airport for your departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Egyptian adventure. OR if you choose to add on with the 10 day itinerary, see below

Day 7

Begin your PADI Open Water Certification course with an introductory session at the dive center. Meet your instructor and fellow divers, and receive your course materials. Dive into the basics of scuba diving with an engaging hands on session, covering essential theory and safety guidelines. Take your first open water dives in the stunning Red Sea.

For already certified divers, choose instead from additional diving certification courses, boat diving excursions in nearby national parks, shore dives, night dives, or camel safari diving options (additional charges may be incurred). 

 

Day 8

Head to the dive center to practice fundamental scuba skills in a controlled environment, gaining confidence and familiarity with your equipment. Explore the vibrant underwater world as you practice your newly acquired skills under the guidance of your instructor. Marvel at the colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life that make Dahab a diver’s paradise.

Day 9

Embark on your final open water dives to complete the PADI certification requirements. Put your skills to the test and explore deeper, discovering more of the Red Sea’s underwater wonders. Your instructor will assess your proficiency, ensuring you are ready for independent diving. Return to the dive center to finalize your certification paperwork and receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification card. Celebrate your achievement with fellow divers and instructors, marking the culmination of your training and practice dives.

Day 10

Enjoy a final breakfast with your scuba diving group, reminiscing about the incredible experiences you’ve shared. After breakfast, travel to the airport for your departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Egyptian adventure.

Read Before You Buy

We require all travelers to purchase travel insurance for the duration of their trip. In order to be valid, it must be purchased BEFORE making your first payment for this trip AND before buying your flights. We recommend World Nomads, but other similar companies will also be accepted. We will ask for this information.

Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights into Cairo International Airport before 4pm local time on April 6, 2025. Airport transportation will be provided around 5pm. If your flight arrives at another time, we will be able to arrange airport pickup on your behalf at an additional cost.

Travelers are responsible for booking their own flight out of Sharm El Sheikh International Airport any time after 10am on April 12, 2025, or if extending with the 10 day itinerary then on April 15, 2025. (Note: This is a different airport then where you will be flying in.) Airport transportation will be provided around 6am in order to arrive at the airport around 9am local time. If your flight departs at another time (for example, earlier than 10am), we will be able to arrange airport pickup on your behalf at an additional cost.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring their passport has at least 6 months validity after trip dates and at least 2 pages blank for passport stamps.

US citizens can obtain an Egyptian 30 day tourist visa upon arrival to the airport in Cairo for $25 USD cash. No advance preparation is required to obtain the visa. Travelers will be responsible for bringing cash. Advance guidance will be provided on what to expect.

A full packing list will be provided 60 days prior to trip departure. There will be an opportunity to purchase traditional Egyptian garments within the first day of the trip, if so desired.

Guidance will be provided on obtaining Egyptian currency.

We will assist you to purchase a data plan in the airport that will work in Egypt if you would like to stay connected when we are away from the hotels. This is optional.

Unless otherwise requested, all travelers will share a room with another traveler of the same gender. Each room will have two beds, free wifi and air conditioning. Upgrading to a private room is possible for an additional cost. 

Guidance will be provided for suggestions on free day activities, help coordinating activities, and help coordinating local transportation to free day activities.

Additional payment plans available upon request. Payment schedule is flexible. If paying via payment plan, your trip must be paid in full prior to February 1, 2025.

Full refund available for cancellation until February 1, 2025. After this point any payments are non-refundable.

Early bird rate available until September 30, 2024. After this the pay in full price goes up to $1995.

Early bird rate for 10 day itinerary is $2915, normal price after September 30, 2024 is $3050, or payment plan available for $500 plus 5 payments of $510. All breakfasts, dinners, double accomodation in a local hotel, dives, PADI Open Water certification, instruction, course, equipment and transportation are included.
